I don't know what all the fuss is about. I have always found this course builders courses, very fair, jumpable and up to height (ground allowing). Yes they are testing, but all you need is to be a good intelligent rider with a decent horse. In my experience those who complain generally have none of the above, or are just sour because they didn't go clear. And yes I did go round his course last year and it was superb.
As for Russ' comments, really is there any need? You forget that the judge has the ultimate say whether a coarse is OK, and as I have been around his courses when Ian Stark and Jane Holderness-Roddam have been the judges, should they not be allowed near a set of WH fences either?
Bring it on I say, lets hope the coarse is up to height, needing a bit of skill to get around, and not just handed to us on a plate.

Well at least it might make a change from most of the courses this year. Let's just hope that he's not "got at" to turn them into more flat classes!
