I have a 17.5 ince wide Ideal. Will measure the actual width tonight. Straight cut but very decent knee roll. Seat and knee roll reverse hide. Superb, comfortable saddly in excellent show ring condition. Too wide for our chunky connemara. Used it on a horse in some riding horse classes last 2 seasons and several ride judges commented on how comfy it was!!! I am looking for something similar slightly less wide! pm me if this may be of interest.

just to let you know they only made 17" and 17.5" Sabres but the more recent ones have wider seats so look a bigger saddle...good luck in your quest ..they are few and far between these days , they are fab saddles ...maybe try a search on ebay as they seem to crop up on there sometimes , i wouldnt part with mine for the world !! A few of my friends have them i will keep my eyes open for you

I have got a 17 inch very wide Sabre which I have used on Welsh B's and two D's and it is fantastic. I would definately recommend one to anyone and tell you to keep searching as they are like hens teeth - I have vowed that mine will sit on my coffin and whoever has the guts to get to the incinerator first can have it!
