Hi,
I am competing with my M&M Lead rein and mini rider st the Scottish Horse Show in August and wondered if anyone had any idea what type of thing the judges liked. They are Miss K Wainwright (r) and Mrs Abrahall (c). I don't expect to qualify the combination but would like to feel I have done my very best.
My main query as well is what do judges think of ehat the rider should be doing - should they hold the saddle or do they prefer that the pony is happy and goes well with kiddies hands off the saddle albeit a bit unsteady.
Any help much appreciated. ;D

IMO Most judges prefer to see a LR rider attempting to ride properly and independantly -so therefore not emulating a pair of tight sidereins.

Thank you - that is really helpful.
the show we were at on Sunady and the judge and steward commented on how well my little one rode. I was very proud of her so I will continue asking her to ride properly.
