Glad I didnt go, it looks as though there was the normal load of waffle as per usual. Davina looks as though she dominated the whole thing from start to finish.
I was going to wait before joining to see if anything would get clearer but now the qualification obtained in 2006 only stand for memeberships before 1st Dec - Just before Xmas

i have just read the minutes of the agm and am a little confused! a few months back the membership fees were rised to cover the ever increasing overheads. Here we are not even two months later and they are announcing an annual turnover in theregions of £926k with a profit of nearly £13000!!! is it me just being a little thick???
''Against this background I am very pleased to announce that PUK made a profit of £12,601 against a loss last year of £8,198. The balance sheet also remains very healthy increasing from £199K to £211K. I can therefore categorically say that PUK is financially strong and profitable organisation.''

£13K is a tiny profit on a turnover of £1M, barely worth bothering. I woulnt be surprised if more increases are needed.

Just a couple of small observations..
1. The minutes have not been signed off by the Directors as being an accurate reflection on what was said
2. Davina has just announced that she will "NOT be carrying on in an advisory capacity after December". Given that she has also announced that she has "given up the day to day running of the offices" - how is she going to do all the things stated?
These minutes came out a bit toooo quickly. Shame tha H&H article that she thought she was overshadowing will not be until next week!

erm, an interesting read, seeing as though some things have been missed out from the agm, like all the things jon phillips was saying about the letter about davina from newark. its interesting how they can change things to suit. they must think we are thick. i would love to know how many memberships they have recieved so far.

The real beauty of these minutes is that they tell no lies - just selective truths. Although Jon only read out a couple of sentences from the Newark letter. they were d**ning enough to warrant serious actions from the Board. I think that is exactly what will happen. The days of DW bullying her way out of problems are very nearly over.

You all make me laugh - if you all felt so strongly, then why didnt you all go and air your views at the AGM instead of bit*hing on here. Is it because you all have to stand up and be seen, on here you can just bit*h away and no oneknows who u are??? Speak up for yourselves, or shut up!!

People have spoke out in public before and have had their membership revoked - its more a case of if you dont like PUK then F*ck Off! Instead of come to the AGM air your views and lets resolve them. If you make suggestions you are being 'confrontational' if you complain you are being 'unreasonable' and expecting too much for what you have paid! Ps Nutta, I like you style of writing its almost poetic, is it supposed to be? Almost Shakespearian!

nutter - as i put earlier i sent a letter, not every one is in a position to go to the AGM meeting. IT is quite a way from me. Therefore i sent my letter and had no reply! i think a reply even if it is just a standard letter sent to all would be nice and basic manners. i have not come on here to bi*ch bout puke and i donb't appreciate you suggusting i have. i really don't see what else i could do if i am too far from the AGM meeting and have sent a letter. i purely wanted to know if anyone else had experienced difficulties with getting a response to their letters. i am sorry if tis has upset you so much. i to also enjoy my showing and it is the bit*hing regarding ponies and riders that annoys me. i think any criticisim about societies can only be a good thing if it leads to improvements and more enjoyable show, which is value for money for us all.
