Coloured Pony in Show Hunter class?

Hey guys,

I have a 153cm coloured pony who i compete in non native pony hoys classes in. We havent qualified and i have been told he will be a very good SHP 153cm. How do coloureds generally do in these classes?
I am going to equifest and a VERY VERY good judge for us is judging the restricted 148cm-158cm intermediate show hutner type. Will it be worth me entering? Or even entering the novice 153cm SHP? Any advice i will ry and attach a picture or link .

The link doesn't work. If you put the pic on fb yourself, go on the link and scroll down to the bottom of the page. There'll be a public link that anyone can use to view it - yay! (if not you can ask the person who did upload the pic for the link as only the person who put it on fb can see the link)

I used to compete my coloured as a SHP to be honest it depends on the judge, I now have a PBA coloured which I also compete in PBA classes but yesterday was down the bottom of line 2 coloureds in it both last, then competed in open coloured youngstock and was 2nd some judges still cant see past the colour, do know a couple of coloureds which have also qualified for HOYS in the "brown" classes so it is possible my advise keep an open mind when you compete in non coloured classes

Because he's a coloured it shouldn't make any difference! Just depends on the judge in your hunter class Wouldnt be unusual to see a coloured hunter, are a good few about
