I am doing the novice ridden coloured horse class and I was wondering whether we need to wear a snaffle bridle for the ridden novice class? Also will the judge ride the novice horses?  |

The ruling for all Equifest classes - unless stated otherwise in the schedule - is "any suitable bridle" - so you do not have to use a snaffle unless you want to. Providing the horse goes well in the bit you will not be penalised. Horses (over 148cms for the natives and exceeding 153cms for the non-natives) will be ridden by the Judge - who is Tracey Southern - and is very experienced. Ponies will do a show in these classes.

Can confirm Tracey is a lovely ride judge, very soft and will give the novices a good ride.

Thankyou! Just double checking! The horse is used to lots of riders so not too worried about that, but did want to double check re correct bridle!
