Confirmation, looks, movement, talent all in place for my 158cm, 5yo Chestnut Mare...Unfortunately she does live up to the stereotype and needs someone with patience and velcro on their bum to help her fulfil her potential.
She really is a cracker to look at, and more than capable of going extremely sweetly in a snaffle - soft, supple, responsive...but lets face it, quite often too responsive. She loves jumping and could potentially event and also enjoys bucking immediately after jumps.
I would be keeping her for at least another 2 years to iron out as many quirks as possible and get her up to a more ladylike level but have made the decision to return to Uni in 2 weeks and will not have the time and money needed to continue. Conventional adverts have only reached those with romantic ideals so I am dropping the price to any sensible offer that doesn't make me cry too much.
I basically want to give her a chance to find a good home cos despite her quirks, the minx is actually quite sweet to handle and good for farrier, travelling, etc. The sad fact is that if I can't find someone, she will have to go to a dealer and I fear she may end up on the scrapheap.
Update: Concentrated on jumping last couple of weeks and think we might have found her job - really enjoying it and calmer about life. So eventers wanting a cheap quality horse to bring on, PM me!!

Bonkers guest-I have a broadmare for sale who had a first foal this year which is lovely and I want to keep her so I cant keep them both as I also have 2 other horses. We have shown them this year a couple of times and the mare has qualified HOYS/RIHS undersaddle as a riding horse so she is definately a cuddy potential and we would have done qualifiers this year with them but the foal wasnt born until June. There is an advert under this section headed HOYS Riding Horse/Broadmare which has a picture of her. PM for more details if you wish, we are in the South 20 mins from Bournemouth, 30 mins from Southampton, 20 mins from Salisbury.
