Just been reading about sizes of yearlings on here, and was wondering what everyones foal were measuring? Our foal is just under 4 months and stands 11 hands, mum was 15.1 and dad 15 so is she about right for her age? She seems to have very long legs. (she is a welsh section D)

Interesting question. My farrier says my filly is little, but my vet says she is huge? Her mum is 16hh and dad is 16,2. I wonder what she should measure at 6 weeks old? I dont care, cos she is perfect whatever size!

Agree doesnt really matter!! but as its the first foal we have bred, was just interested, plus she lost her mum at 12 weeks, so just want to keep a check she is growing ok!!

Bred my first one this time too out of almost 15.2 mare by 14.2 stallion... Need her to be over 14.2 as I'll be too old (and too tall to ride her) but no idea if she's on target for 15h or not!! She's had mixed reviews like yours lovepink, some say she's small others say she's gonna be massive!! She is all legs at the moment so it's hard to tell!
