How early would you put a native foal in a rug if you were going to do a couple of foal shows in November?

I don't, they go as they have grown but may have one on the night before just to keep them clean.

Ours came in for the first night last night. Will trim them up next weekend and they'll have night rugs on after that.

Our sec d foal has one on if its raining as she has a mad rolling hissy fit when she comes in at night if she is wet and generally double barrels poor mum who tries to steer clear masta lightweight foal rug, easy fit and doesent seem to move much.

Hi, Does anyone know what Rug would fit a welsh A yearling filly. I have measured her, top of her back is only 88cm and her bottom measurment measures 4ft5. I would have thought 4ft6 pony but its huge! My foal rug at 4ft3 is too short... Any ideas would be greatful...

Hi parsons, the Mark Todd foal rugs are a pretty good fit for the littlies. They are a bit shorter in the body than a standard pony rug so ideal for youngsters. Hope that helps :-)

I use Saxon rugs on my babies. They are not too deep so the foal doesnt look like its wearing a marquee.
