Reg of foal/ stallion licensed sec a!

Help!!
I have purchased a nice mare of unknown breeding who has been put too a reg sec a colt who is now a gelding as the owners wanted him as a driving pony.
At the time of purchase i did ask again and again that the foal could be reg part bred even tho the stallion was unlicensed as i am not hot on the welsh stud book rules and my friend!! told me that she did all the checks and it was fine as long as the sire was a reg welsh i could reg my foal as part bred which was the deciding factor in my purchase. yes it was stupid to not check as i know with Shetlands this could not happen but trusted her, it now seems to have come to light that i cannot reg the foal which has really peed me off to say the least, i got the mare as she was a very nice sort and very cheep felt sorry for her and she is only really any good to me as a riding pony, even tho i have a love for breeding and welsh ponies i don't really have the space or time and i could invest in good quality reg mares to top stallions.
Basically I'm worried for the out come of my foal in the future i would want it to have been reg as a part breed, i cannot turn back the clock and after all the years I'm still a stupid sucker for a sod story, the mare is very good quality shp type prob a part breed herself but has no paper work to prove this, and is taking a hell of allot of work to make her a kind trusting pony she could be and she now has a loving home for life and knowing me so will the foal so i guess at the end of the day the paper work does not really matter that much but had my heart set on showing it as a part bred. etc.
Been in racing until my daughter was born then just had a little TB for fun so very rusty on show classes and stud book rules so any help would be fab or i could just be left to moan about my over trusting nature lol
Hope my ramblings make sense to someone and they can give me a kick so i can just get on and live with it lol

Best to talk to the WPCS office, but I don't like your chances, sorry. Stock by an unlicensed but reg stallion but out of a reg Welsh mare could go into Section X, or if sire unknown be reg as PB from the mare's side if reg Welsh but I'm not at all sure about your situation. Could it be reg with NPS? I don't know their rules at all I'm afraid.

At the end of the day if you and your daughter enjoy the ponies surely that is what mattters? And there are plenty of other avenues in which to compete after all. How old is she? Seeing daughter riding home bred and brought up pony is a complete joy, I've been there!

Cannot wait for the foal having scan on tuesday morning and very excited, was just more peed off with being told one thing then when i asked later for cert told another. will be my first home bred in years loved watching my little babies turn in to nice ponies even if they did pants.
My daughter is only 4 so fingers crossed she will get to ride pony away and have lots of fun

Just been looking at the NPS and they want all stallions to be licenced to the breed stud book so no joy. Infact you have more chance with a welsh part bred reg then a NPS! just incase that helps anyone else.
