We will be doing winter dressage again at Leigh & District this year starting in October and I was hoping for some opinions - we are currently trying to gauge interest for a separate green horse intro class open to horses aged 6 or below who have never won a prelim test or competed at novice or above.
We are also considering giving a special rosette to the highest-placed green horse in the prelim classes.
What do people think? Is this something you would be interested in?

It's a good idea. Our RC is full of pro's still doing prelim and using it as a warm up for Novice so when we progress to prelim from walk trot we won't have a chance of even getting placed. My lad is 18 and never done dressage before so not sure green horse would apply to him. I know a venue that does restricted prelim for those who have never been placed 1-3rd in prelim or done novice.

Great idea and i agree a lot of places have people useing the prelims for their warm ups when really they shouldnt be entering them as their ability is novice or above. x
