Has anyone ever had fluid drained from any of their ponies limbs??
I have a pony with fluid lumps on the side of his hocks and i am toying with the idea of having them drained as they are letting him down in the ring.
Has anyonme ever had anything like this done before??

Speak to your vet Or do you have a friendly Dr who would do it for you. Seriously you can either get the fluid drained or have a cortozone injection to reduce the fluid but it will come back.

We had a horse with exactly the same We drained the hock and it did go down but he was never sound on it again so be very careful. If it is only recent we had a horse we used tight vet wrap and ice gell but this only works on a new swelling like a recent capped hock.

We had a hunter's knee drained and it came back even bigger. Best thing with hocks is to use magnets, massage three times a day, get a physio out and make a wish
