Hi next season ive been offered the ride on a lovely NF who has been quite successful in the past, the owner has said that we can try the above classes, but having only ever done olympia qualifiers in the past i was wondering if you had to be a member of any societies to do them? Thank you

for rihs you need to be a member of bsps, pretty sure you don't need to be with any for HOYS but seem to have forgotten!

AFAIK to do HOYS qualifiers this year, you have to be a member of "a" showing society such as PUK, NPS or BSPS but I'm sure someone else can clarify.

As guestless has said, for HOYS qualifiers you have to be a member of either PUK, NPS or the pony's breed society.
However make sure you check the rules of the specific show you're entering, as I seem to remember in the past PUK(?) have said before that you need to be a member of them or NPS to enter qualifiers at their shows.
