My vet wont do teeth - or backs for that matter, but I pay £25 per horse, but if the dentist does all of them it drops to £20 per horse and that appears to be the average for Kent and Sussex.

Try Kevin hallet. I had him to my two last week and he was really good.Great with the horses, very patient. Explains everything to you. He travels all over the country. Just google him. £48 each horse.

I have the best dental technician in world.... Ivan Stockdale ( Tim Stockdales brother ). Fully qualified , kind and very straight to the point. He is normally fully booked up for 12 months in advance and we have him on the same day every year as we get 20 done. I think he charges £50 ? but you get a full written report and satisfaction that its been done properly and not by one of the cowboys.

My dentist charge about £50 with report as well. But I have to have my mare sedated by the vet to get her done so kind of defeates the object when I have to get vet anyway. Had hers done today, not sure how much, but no call out in our area on a friday so that saves a bit!!

try Curtis Thompson - I think he covers that area. His details should come up if you google him, if not I'll find his number for you

My Husband is a qualified EDT listed on the BEADT website. He charges between £35-£40 per horse with some discounts available to yards of ten horses or more. His prices are similar to others based in the North, however I know some of his colleagues in the South charge around £60 per horse. It does annoy him that it has cost a considerable amount of time and finances to learn the knowledge to practice dentistry, he pays his subscriptions to the society and has full liability insurance, when there are still those 'cowboys' out there operating without these expenses, or the standard of expertise, yet charging more than he does.

Wow! Some of those prices are outrageous! We have had Robin Harding in the past and now have Brian Wilson, I think they were 40+ 35 quid respectively, only used Robin for routine rasps but Brian has just done both my mares over the last few month and both had very sharp teeth and a few caps that hadn't come off and the difference has been great in both of them.
