Is it true that the HOYS Champions will no longer be measured?
If so this is a very sad day for showing, a great shame, a move away from fair competition, honest measuring and honest sale of horse and ponies.
Measuring at HOYS had started to make people put the correct height of animal in a class. Why move away from this and encourage the unscrupulous to cheat?

Are the 2007 winners being measured?

If the measurers measure correctly in the first place, then why do we need to have them re-measured for winning at HOYS? The HOYS remeasurement was a relatively new introduction. If you have a problem with measuring, you should not be relying on HOYS to sort out the problem, but take it up with the JMB. No one wants overheight horses in the classes, but I think it is unfair to blame HOYS for it.

Not blaming HOYS for measuring infact think it's an excellent idea It has made people more careful about entering animals in height restricted classes and - [Assisted those who show fairly. Very few can afford to appeal and put money down.
Suppose we'll end up with 158cm 153's again and all the Small Hunters and Large Hacks being 16hh again? And Don't say that hasn't happened before
