Will be using this bit in the show ring instead of a double but not sure what cheek pieces I should get - rugby cheeks or the loose ring or fixed ring. Do the rugby cheeks have an advanntage over the latter? To me the rugby cheeks look like a lot of metal for a pony to have on its face.

i would get rugby as you can pop a head piece on the top ring to make it look like a double  |

I personally am not a fan of the rugby cheeked bits, I think they can make the head look a bit strange sometimes, I like the loose ring or fixed ring much better  |

Remember that Rugby pelhams are not permitted in any P(UK) performance classes either
