Has anyone had any experience of hat dyeing?. I have a navy hat that we need to change to brown. We're not being mean, it's just that the Charles Owen brown hat is too bulky for my daughter's head and no-one else seems to make a brown hat with a flesh harness.

Don't know if you can have them dyed, but you can have them re-covered, think it's quite expensive though. Patey will do it but I looked on their website earlier and whilst they definitely do their own hats (£200 plus!) don't know if they do other brands.

Hmm, that's what I thought. Does anyone know of a company that covers them a bit cheaper?

Hmm, that's what I thought. Does anyone know of a company that covers them a bit cheaper? There was a lady called either Hilda or Hilary, will try and find her number, she also used to attach flesh harnesses to patey hats for about 20 pounds. (not that I'd recommend anyone do that)
