Cars!!!

Why is it so expensive to try and learn to drive/be able to drive after passing?! I'm so ready to take my test but I can't afford to pay for my driving test at the moment as have been paying for driving lessons every week. Can't afford to buy my own car as once I've got enough to buy the bluddey thing, I'll have to sort insurance etc and then pay to run it! Older brother who's too lazy to learn to drive just said that if I drive him to work, he'd buy me a car but I'd have to pay for insurance... for a cheap and cheerful little £500 peugeot 306 1.6L it would cost me a grand to be insured for a year so that's not going to happen! The insurance on my Mum's car runs out in October and I got told they aren't paying for me to be on it after that as it's so expensive when they put me on in the first place soooooooooooo I'm gonna have to keep paying for driving lessons to have enough practice to take my test which means it'll be even longer until I have enough money to book my test as I'm in full time education so can't work often enough to save quickly........


Breeeeeeeeeeeeathe haha. Sorry I just get so annoyed with all my friends driving around in their lovely cars that they don't have to pay for, they don't know how lucky they are!

I'm in the exact same situation as you sweetie!
sold a project pony last week, so have some money to buy a car, but I still need to pay for a few more lessons yet,
and once Ive done my test and bought a car, I'll have to, like you, insure it ect ...
so much hard work.. I'll be stuck in driving lessons for the rest of my life.

all my friends have got new cars, and I may as well be driving a £20 shed on wheels.

At least I'm not the only one

So frustrating as I would just save up for it but if the mighty plan comes together then by the time I had the money, I'd only have it for a couple of months and then I'd be off to uni? Stupid money!
