Its been suggested that I feed my horse cider vinegar to help his COPD. Just wondered if any of you feed it, do you think it is beneficial?

COPD is a respiratory disease and is to do with having too much phlem and mucus in and around the lungs. I would consult your vet before definitely putting your horse on cider vinegar to help COPD. Google the words - Chronic Obstructive Pulmony Disease - and see what links are brought up and have a read through them.
However, cider vinegar is good for helping maintain a shiny coat and aiding the joints. I had my old pony on cider vinegar and was brought up to feed it to all ponies at the riding school I trained at.

Cider vinegar is brilliant for joints, had an old arthritic mare on it and it worked wonders for her. Can't see how it would help the respiratory system, but likewise don't think it would do any harm.
