We live in Kent and often hack up the cliffs, along the sea wall and on the beach when the tide is out. The ponies love it. Does anybody else do this?

I live in Devon, and we have the most glorious 3 mile golden sand beach, my Welsh D truely believes hes a race horse when we ride there, the beach also has equally long sand dunes which are fab fun to canter through as they are up and down and twisty turny. Beach riding is definately the best fun, I used to school on it too before I had access to and arena.

When a friend was at a previous yard, they used to take the horses to the beach in the lorry at the crack of dawn, gallop them up the beach, then ride them bareback into the sea for a swim. Then they all had a good roll in the sand while the riders cooked bacon butties for breakfast on a disposable barbie!!
