the goat babies arrived on saturday morning and are doing very well, they were born to Star, and they are both girlies, they are called Beuno (white) and Aero (dark brown)!! they are sooo cute, and are just the most adorable little things!! this is them curled up together and me holding them... hope you like them!!

They're lovely! Will you keep them? Goats milk supposed to be v. good for putting condition on horses!!

he he, yes i think we will keep them, but we have another goat due soon and hopefully she'll have girls cos no one wants the boys!! i dont think that we will be giving the milk to horses though, we had to milk one udder, because its much bigger than the other and little babies couldnt get anything out!! but we gave it to the pig and chickens..i was brought up on goats milk myself when i was younger, never had cows millk til i was 12!!!

I fed my old Dartmoor stallion- Shilstone Rocks D Day - Goats milk as a yearling, he loved it and always looked well, he is also the sire of many famous Dartmoors, so I would say maybe the goats milk did help, but really he was bred to be great.

I did know a TB stallion years ago who regularly had a bucket full of goat's milk, the owner swore it put 'lead in his pencil'!!!

yes, i think she is definately preggers now, she has big udders which have suddenly just arrived and hopefully, she will kid in next 2 weeks, he he:) more baby goats, and the best thing is that they are by our own billy, Horatio!! (my mum is obsessed with CSI miami!!

yay, went to check on bueno and aero and did double take as the other goat Bambi had just kid!! woo hoo!! especially as it was only 5.30 pm! here is a pic of them, they are called Noah and Moses, Moses is lying down, the other one looks bigger but actually isnt!!

Yes she is called Annettea her best friend and fellow bottle fed lamb is Frieda and is also eight, they had to stay on the stud when I left but I still go and see her. and she still comes to call lol

we have five pigmy goats and up till a few years ago mother in law had a pair of Angalo Nubian goats that she you'st to drive to a trap but Noah and Moses sure are cute

we used to have anglo nubian goat called bella and she is mother of Star and Star is mother of Bambi, i think Star's baby - aero is a throwback to bella as she has very anglo nubian ears!! but toggenburg features _striped face etc do not know where that came from!! ha ha

We were once given some goat meat - it sat in the freezer for ages and then went in the bin because no one had the heart to eat it!
