My4 year old Patterdale x jack russell slipped a disc at beginning of July and suddenly became paralysed completely from his middle backwards, he had operation at clinic specialising in these injuries, we were told that there was an 85% chance he would walk again but it would take weeks if not months. At first I couldn't see the wood for the trees as he looked so pitiful dragging his back legs like a seal, he was also completely incontinent, however with a lot of TLC and physio and hydro-therapy etc, he is now walking on his back legs although still wobbley and urinating on his own (hard work but well worth it)

our one italian went in to be spayed as she was due in season around crufts and we couldnt take her if she was in season ,same thing happened from the middle of her back was totally gone , she spent two weeks at the animal health trust which are fab they fixed her and wow it was a long road but shes fine now her movements gone but happy days shes all good she goes on walks , runs around like a mad thing when she over does things she wets herself seems to lose control but really shes great even has won many lorry dog ch which does make me laugh shemoves like a show pony on her front and people are like wow look at her move and dont even look at the back end , but yours will get better we used a harness on her for 6 months whilst walking her and lots of cage rest which we all found hard but shes now fine , when things settle down and shes better i would maybe had a mctimonel back person just give the once over the lady who does my horses had a look at mine and especially my one show dog just to put him back in line , all the very best and im sure all will turn out well

Keep up the hard work, it will be worth it. Our mini dachshund suddenly became paralysed some 6 years ago now and couldnt walk, incontinent. She went to the Animal Health Trust at Newmarket and was operated on (expensive) and they sent her home with not much hope. But we persevered, we used to put a sling under her tummy to enable her to keep walking with her front legs whilst her backs legs became stronger and mended, then we managed to get a doggy wheelchair from USA (secondhand), she is now absolutely fabulous, cant jump on chairs anymore but does climb the stairs. Good luck, keep up your good work.
