Hi i have a jack russell terrier called fudge . He is 7 mouths and is mad!!!He likes to run around in circles for about half a hour he is VERY fast and has won loads of terrier races. I sometimes take him for rides and he loves trying to race my horse whatever the gait!!!. In the morning he jumps on my bed and falls 2sleep ontop of me. if you just put a jacket on he stands by the door with his lead in his mouth waiting to be taken for a walk. He loves food and if you are eating anything he will jump up and take it out your hand and scoff in in 5 secs. He loves to go to the beach and chase seagulls and dig up things in the sand Are any of your dogs as mad as mine?

I've read this about 3 times and am a bit concerend that at just 7months old your puppy has been "raced" ok so it's just fun terrier races, but he's still just a pup and his bones/skeleton wont be strong enough to cope with any strains all this madness will put on him.
If he's acting mad/hyper it's probably due to the food you give him.. the ingredients in the food i mean.. what do you feed him?
You should be careful what food you allow him to eat, this includes yours. as some "human" food is poisonous to dogs and can make them very ill if not be fatal tot hem.
Just a thought.... xx

He sounds lovely ponykat but as sands01 says be very careful with the amount of excercise you give such a young pup.I certainly wouldnt advise racing a dog as young as that!!! Take him steady as a pup and dont let him go "mad" until he is a year old.Too much too young will give him problems when he's older. Good luck with him,it sounds like he brings you lots of happiness

personally I'd get him off iams.. it's very rich and has been known to give pups digestive problems (one i know an Alaskan Malamute now has Colitis brought on by feeding iams ) however he does sound lovely - any pics? Brindlerainbow - I like your Boxer....
