Dog messing at night

Any advice re a dog who consistently messes at night.
Getting really frustrated, he goes out before bed but still does this.
Not sure if it is a habit thing or a veterinary matter, he has always done it when left on own so stress but at night he is not, he is with us and other dog.

Hi, we have a 14 week old puppy who sleeps in a dog crate at night. Touch wood she has never messed in the crate, the reason I think is that they don't like to do it in their own bed!!

Our puppy is 9 weeks old and she is in a crate too.

Sounds like your dog is having seperation anxiety. Get a crate and this will help. It helps them feel a bit safer, and dogs areless likely to poo/wee where they sleep.

do you feed him once or twice a day? Try feeding him early on if you can then he will have to "go" before bedtime.
