You took in lorry dog Mark2 because you are a lovely kind person. People treat dogs unbelievably badly and you (like me) could not stand by and let it happen. He will grow up and stop doing pup things and he may even be an ugly duckling who grows into a swan but whatever, every dog is worth every penny spent on them and every anxious time worrying about them. Good for you - you cheered me up no end by knowing that you had done this good deed. Happy New Year!!

Awww.... so glad small dog is doing okay. We took in pony in summer, so thin we carried her off the lorry. Lice, worms, dreadful teeth and old - very old! Vet said she wouldn't last through the night. She is however, still with us and turned out to be million per cent bomb proof childs pony. She is still abit stiff in the mornings despite lashings of Cortaflex but the vet reckons she is at least late twenties and all my small grandchildren are learning to ride on her. Your little dog will probably be the best ratter/ lorry guard dog/ whatever that you ever had. I am sure you get good stuff back when you save an animal. xxxxx Kisses for Ralf.

Glad pup has settled in well.At 5 weeks get some wormer in him,as from the info you have given it looks like he hasnt had any of the care that responsible breeders give their pups.Mine are 5 weeks on weanings just in the process of going from puppy porridge to puppy food. And are still getting fed from mum.

By the middle of next season it will own the lorry, own you, and probably the lorry parked either side at a show. Good luck little dog. I'm glad that it's found you.

Good luck and don't forget to up your household insurance, a new lorry dog.... good on ya. Our JR was really pug eyed when we got her on the way to Derby horse sales, someone gave me this bit of a thing to hold, couldn't even walk and that was that. She too was full of massive tape worms and fleas (hence reason for pug eyes me thinks),,,yuk, and our vet reckoned about 4 weeks old, but how we love her now but she has completely taken over all our lives and rules the roost.
Can you post a picture of you're new mutely, you could do a before and after like we have with our boy we rescued in the summer. George is coming on in leaps and bounds but really just needs some Dr Grass.
Happy new year to you all, and I hope 2007 is a good one for all, especially Ralfie.

That was funny!
Mum and dad have gone made and bought 2 pugs. They have been desperate for them for ages!
They are wrecking the place but have yet to improve on the sanitary towel story!

Hi Overbent. Your pup sounds just like mine although mines not docked and is a Puggle (Pug/Beagle). She is Jack Russell size, square body, tan with black grizzle on her back, has dark mask with boxer type head and is SO CUTE!! Go to www.pugglelove.co.uk and have a look to see if they look like yours. Mine was also ill when I got her, and I am sure much younger than the 9 weeks the breeder said, but she is fine now and I have to say a little sod!! Still can't house train - she goes for a run in the garden, comes in the kitchen looks at me and then pees on the floor!! Chews everything in site but is gorgeous and loves everyone including my other two dogs and three kids!! How do I post a picture on here - will try if someone tells me how.

This is what the mod leo said in another thread re PICTURESAND IVE DONE IT....... OUR PUPPIES you need to have them hosted on the internet first. eg. www.photobucket.comYou upload photos on to there onto a personal album, and then from your album copy and the line of text under the photo that looks like www.ljlblah bljsljf[ /img] and insert that into a post et voila! if you have a website, you can copy photos straight over. Right click on the photo, click properties and highlight the web address. Copy that onto a post and stick inbetween these brackets [/ img] (without space)
