i have a small terrier who is slighty hypo and neurotic she is on zylkene which keeps her happy. she has never been a good traveller though she loves the car and will sit in it all day , as soon as i drive off she pants wines digs up the mat in her cage and is very unhappy she is worse in some vehicles than others, i have come to the conclusion it must be motion sickness,i have tried acp but dont like to use it indefinatly,i have been told sea legs work also benadryl has anybody used these or got any ideas that work.
she has to travel with me as she gets upset if i leave her and she loves been at shows and events,

Found some information here, I was actually trying to find out if they made those magnetic wristband things for dogs, but I can't seem to find any information on them, does anyone know if they are available? www.ecomagnets.com/bioflow-dogcollar.htm

Oh yes, never thought of those, would they work for motion sickness? With the wristbands for humans, the magnets are in a specific place on the inside of your wrist, so do they have to be in a certain place for dogs I wonder?

Nothing is more effective than simple car journeys for the dog... personally i wouldnt have dog in a crate, but in the boot of the car with a dog guard installed. maybe to start off with someone in the back seat that can talk but not touch the dog. start the first journey off at a short route, like to a park or something so it gets to know that being in the car is a good thing and that fun things will follow.. Things like DAP (collar or spray) can help (it didnt for mine) or rescue remedy... i wouldnt use others as you dont want to sedate the dog, only help dog to accept the car journey, and not make dog feel it needs to be "man-handled" first... (ie the giving of tablets)
Tara, as a puppy, used to get terrible sickness in the car, from as little as 5mins into the journey.. we took her to the yard every day for a week (before breakfast), not stopping even if she was sick (ignoring this behaviour) then she was rewarded with a long enjoyable walk..after a week she stopped being sick, and the next week she had first half of her breakfast, then all of it... hasnt been sick since. (she's now 6yrs)

MM - no, as you adjust the fitting of the collar to sit on certain places on the dogs neck... on the wrist bands the the ends need to be on or near the pulse points, but collars have one circular piece of copper so it will be picked up by the dogs pulse.. (if you get my drift.) I know someone who used to be an agent for Bioflow and she would send different pieces for different animals including dogs, cats and horses.
ETA- cant spell lol

Happy to help
