Hello, I wondered if anyone might have any ideas or advice on floppy necks. we have a section a that got rather fat on his holidays and has now lost loads of weight but his crest has gone a bit wobbly, it hasn't completely gone over but i'm scared it might. Any ideas on how i can stop this, please!

I've heard that magnesium is supposed to help cresty necks, but no idea if it actually works, sorry.

If he is has been on holiday proper work and a bit of feed (being careful obviously the 'L' word) but with proper work and a bit of feed this should return to normal if its not too bad.

I had a fell stallion a few years ago that came to me with a totally collapsed crest. I put him into work and put a neck cover on him at the same time to sweat the fat deposits off and it came right. I find it helps to tighten up the muscles and lose the cellulite!! Hope it helps

Wrap his neck in a plastic sheet or similar and then lunge him or ride him until he sweats. This makes flabbiness of any kind (on horses - can't speak for humans!) to tighten up in no time.
