I currently have Supreme body wrap for my pony - I love it but it is sadly time to buy a new one - I have tried cheaper versions on other ponies and the lycra quality is awful, so Im wondering about Dress Circle them seem to be on a power with Supreme and are a little cheaper which is always good for me. So has anyone tried them or do you think I should stick to my old faithful Supreme? Any help appreciated!

I really like their products, my only problem is their sizes are way off, You have to go quite a few siezes bigger for things to fit.
Dont know if anyone else had experienced this or if it was just a one off with me? Having said that the people were really helpful in trying to get me the sixe that would fit.

I have one and to be honest I've stopped using it as I find it is a pain.
As someone else has mentioned the sizes are a little odd. I have a medium for my native and it's too long length wise and too short depth wise. The problem I have is that the large belly strap underneath slides back during the day/night and when the pony pees it accumulates in this belly flat which is pretty disgusting and not pleasant for the pony. Also I find that because it doesn't have any kind of leg straps the back rides up when the pony lies down so doesn't keep him as clean as other makes (he's a grey so this is pretty important to me). Another bug bear is that the velcro really sticks to the material of the wrap and leaves pull marks - the company say to use the velcro protectors everytime you take it off but that's not really practical and not what happens in the real world! I have to say that my exprience of dealing with the company has not been particulary pleasant and wouldn't buy any of their products again. It does have some good features in that it is easy to put on and take off however, very similar to Supreme in that way. You also have to admire the owner of the company as she's done a great job with marketing/promotion.
I have a Snuggy hoods lyrca set (separate hood and rug) which I find very useful but I think my next purchase will be a Surpreme

We use the Dress Circle full body suits and their hoods, have found both to be as durable as any other lycra hood. Good quality, they don't break that easily, good to wash. Thumbs up from me!

Dress Circle are hopeless for ponies especially native ponies, because the size is way off. I am a Snuggy hoods fan - at least theri sizes do work.

Aaah! Interesting, I've only used them on non-hairy horses, for which they've worked very well

We use body / hood combined lycra rugs from America they have been brilliant all ours are Natives and have fitted well.
The neck has a zip and they are easy to get on and off - none of ours have slipped yet - our oldest would be about 18 months old
The best bit is that even with postatge from the states they are still way cheaper - Cost me £30 plus £10 postage and were delivered in about 7 days *I think*
Have bought a Snuggy turnout hood this winter though for turnout and its been excellent very pleased with it.
Had some Funky ponies hoods before and never had any problems with them either.

Look on Ebay.com (for the states) The sellers user Id is - thetackhouse *i think* Sizings fine for us they didnt have any for small 12handers but there are other American sites that do small ones. Good quality Lycra not the thin shiny stuff We found a Pony size fitted 5ft 3 - 5ft6 Cob 5ft 6 - 6ft3 and large cresty native who norm wears 6ft 6 rugs
They also sell zipped hoods which are good these come up smaller and the small size they do fits a 12hh perfectly
Hope this is of some help

They were originally designed for the Australian market and the sizing is for plaited ponies who are narrower than ours. There's another company who make fantastic boots and rugs which are well made and competitively priced even inlcuding postage. www.threebagsfull.com I think.

Went on the website you suggested - lovely sweaters and clothes but I don't think they will suit my pony!

I've only tried snuggy hoods, they are great and I would not be with out them in the winter. Would not want to try any thing else and will stick to what I know is good.

I am very good friends with the lady who owns Dress Circle Horsewear. It was an Australian company for 6 years until it was purchased in May 2006 and brought to the UK. This company started in 2000 and has always been called Dress Circle Horsewear.
Dress Circle sizes are based on Australian show ponies and horses. The lycra is lighter weight and breathable as they are worn in humid temperatures
Australia dont have many natives showing like the UK. This is why some of you may be finding they dont fit your hairies that well.
Supreme and Snuggy have been trading for 10+ years so they have had chance to make alterations to get the sizes just right. I think its impossible for one style of rug to fit everything. I had terrible problems myself with the eye holes pulling into the eyes with the supreme wraps as the lycra is so slippy/shiny.
Dress Circle did say to me that they were making changes to some of the sizes for the new stock for 2007. I know they welcome any comments or feedback to them through their website to help with fitting natives as show ponies and horses do not appear to have problems fitting into them, we have intermediates and show hunters and they fit fine in the sherpa and lycra.

That's interesting - when I tried to explain that the garment I was sent didn't fit my pony correctly ie too long lenghtwise and not deep enough I was not permitted a refund. I would never purchase another thing from them. You are right - Supreme and Snuggy Hoods have been established much longer and have excellent reputations and customer service. [Note from moderators - we've had to alter your post as we have to be very careful of libellous comments being made, particularly when they are anonymous so we can't ensure they are substantiated. ]
