Last night our livery yard was broken into by a group of proffessional theives, they used a hydrolic tool to break into the tackrooms, one only known to be used by the fire brigade. The horses, thank god, were untouched but literally everything of value has been taken. Please look out for any large sales of tack etc and if you see anything suspicious please report it to the police! Also if anyone saw ANYTHING at all last night round the hatton/daresbury area of warrington please let the police know. We can't let these b*****ds get away with this. The items of mine that were taken are listed below and anyone else on the yard please feel free to post details so we can all keep a look out. x1 16.5inch havanna brown med. show saddle stamped derbyhouse saddlery x1 cob size plain havanna brown bridle complete with thin flat noseband, reins, loose ring 5.5inch snaffle bit and flashy 15.5(?) inch red and gold velvet show browband with diamontes x1 brown fleece straight cut show numnah to fit 16inch saddle x1 burgundy red with gold detail john whittaker velvet padded numnah pony/cob sized x1 black velvet padded numnah with gold trim and diamonte detail accross bottom back corner. x1 4.5inch dutch gag x1 set of very dark brown laced reins in full size (I think) Please keep an eye out we are absolutely gutted, lots of the items where not only expensive but held lots of sentimental value from previous ponies etc.

Hope you catch the scumbags sooner rather than later! Apologies for the language, but come on - if you cant afford to buy your tack - dont have a horse - it is quite a simple logic!
If these people dont have horses - then where are your manners??? If its not yours dont touch!!!!!
These kind of people really naff me off!
Good luck xx

I know it sounds so obvious but check Ebay as someone I know found their tack by recognsing the wallpaper in the background of the room the stolen items were photographed in, and to cut a long story short not only did they get most of their stuff back but the persons concerned were convicted of theft and dealt with accordingly. So sorry that you have lost sentimental items as that is worse than anything else as it can never be replaced. Hopefully what goes around comes around and the vile people that did this to you will get their come uppance in some - hopefully - horrible way.

That sounds like hell. No tack-no ridding! I have a made to measure saddle that cost a bomb which we keep at home to stop been nicked- besides even if someone did steal they wouldn't be able to sell it bcause it wont fit another pony!!
We have tackrooms at our yard and in mine we have lockers, (do you?) we only keep our bridles, hats and high vis' and bits and bobs that arnt worth a hell of a lot! Also medical stuff and rugs-which could still be stolen! If you dont have lockers maybe you should get some, bcause once we left the locker key at home and i wanted to ride! My dad had to try and open it and i dont think he could even using a spade!
I do hope you get your things back and hopefully report the theif!! :-l
