Hi Showing our gypsy vanner youngster next year, local and county level, hopefully!! Only had natives before so unsure as to what colour bridle and jacket etc is need to show him in? Your help would be much appreciated

Is he Piebald/Skewbald (I know a lot are but there are more 'solid' colours being shown now!) - I am new to coloureds aswell but I believe you would wear the same as you would with a native (tweed jacket etc). Havanna tack is traditional for the showring but black can be used & shouldn't influence the judge's decision! I think it depends what suits your pony best - our Piebald wears havanna (as I don't have any black!) & it doesn't stand out as much as you would think. Also black tack could make your pony's 'black patches' (if he has any) look dull unless they are very very dark.
