::)Hi, from reading the postings on here I can tell theres one hell of a lot of knowledgeable people out there who get great results! So I was just wondering if anyones got anything they would like to share with us not so knowledgeable users. Maybe a product, piece of equipment or routine they use that they wouldn't do without? Any help or advice would be great as personally I feel I have a big mountain to climb this year trying to get my rather woolly, muddy and boisterous sec B yearling colt to his first show in March. So go on tell us.................................................................
Whats your secret?!?!? ;D

Best piece of advice from me is to make sure you go to shows for the enjoyment - once you start going to win the fun goes out of it!!!!!!
Oh, and as put on another topic, if your pony is well on the inside, it will be well on the outside. You don't need to overfeed or spend millions on the most advanced feeds around. Mine are on alpha a & coarse ration at the most when in work.

Definatly, get them well and fit on the inside and your horse will look a million dollars all year round even if the shine is coming through a wooley coat.

My best tip is the gin bottle (Oh! sorry I thought you said tipple) - seriously though I am greatly in favour of lots of really nice meadow hay, well made and not dusty - and not too much hard food. Just enough to give them the vits and mins that they don't always get these days.

Hiya, I always leave my lights on in the stable till 10 is at night, I dont know if its co-incidence but the ponies always have lost their winter coats far earlier than other peoples. and also keep them warm especially youngsters obviously without going to far and overheating them

I went to one show and me & mother were on blue WKD at 8 in the morning on the way there (one of the few times I didn't have to drive) Also, myself & another HG member on here were on bucks fizz at PUK last year in the ring at silly o clock in the morning. Its amazing what will go into a ribena bottle in the grooming basket for stripping!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol
