Its been bitterly cold here the last few days & I'd noticed a little nest had been made in my shed and thought it was the chickens trying to keep in the warm, but it is a little tortie & white cat, it's only small so I am assuming that it is young I gave him / her a bowl of dog biscuits soaked in warm water last night which was rapidly scoffed Today I got some cat food & filled a box with shavings and hay so it will be snug & it's already been in there I'll try and get a picture in a few days - poor little kitty

Our old cat used to do this, he was fed by my mum about four times a day, he then used to go over to my neighbour across the road and plead poverty there, he used to nest in her alleyway and then he would go over to another neighbour and do the same. They are very clever. We only found out when we saw the neighbour feeding him by hand, we asked why she was doing it and she said she had thought it was a stray and that another neighbour had been feeding him too. How funny, cheeky cat xxx

Can I just say to anyone who has a cat, if your cat is constantly hungry and isn't putting on weight despite being fed more than usual, get their thyroid checked out? My old cat was like this, would eat all her own food (a tall can of Felix, to herself) and beg steal or help herself to anything she could find, turned out she had an overactive thyroid and once she was on the right medication she was eating normally and putting on weight within a couple of weeks.
