Oh lucky you, my husband wouldn't let me have another one! Think he regrets it now though as we have a rescue saluki instead who is absolutely delightful but not the easiest dog to own, most people would have sent him back I think.
Our first spaniel was by Empshott Peter Rabbit and was called Empshott Flopsy Rabbit (black), known as Flopsy, her black daughter was called Fidget and the bought in roan was called Flurry. Nothing like c*cker puppies, all cuddly and squidgy with too much skin!

Well a Kia IS a car! How about Ford, Vauxhall, Skoda.......I joke of course! Ferrari, Porsche.....
Useless on photos, sorry, but lots on google I'm sure! He was found straying so we have no proof of his breed but appears to be every inch a saluki. Sighthounds, the first pure breed of dog and bred to hunt gazelles in the Persian desert. Very beautiful dogs, greyhound shaped but with hanging down, fringed ears and a heavily fringed tail with the rest of the coat thin and flat. Ours is white with a few ghostly brindle patches of grey and apricot and grey ears. Lovely kind sweet dog, but apparently typical of the breed that they run like h***, jump 6 ft fences, chase anything that moves and go totally deaf while doing so. Not the brightest of dogs, but then I am used to collies, and VERY independent minded. Like to kip on the sofa or a bed in between. Ours was badly treated before we had him, was very nervous and suffers from separation anxiety but has now pretty well stopped eating things when left although still howls if on his own in the house - luckily we have no near neighbours! Just caught him stealing food off the kitchen worktop - and this is a dog that doesn't just put the two front feet up there but all four! Our other dog is the perfect dog to own - mum a collie and dad a wandering travellers saluki lurcher. She has the intelligence and obedience of the collie but without the hyperactivity, just kips on the sofa in between times! How can she tell from upstairs at the other end of the house when I take my outside coat off the back of a kitchen chair ready to go and do ponies? She's there, asking to come out and help!
Cockers, on the other hand, are very cuddly, can't reach the kitchen worktops to steal food and intelligent and obedient enough without being hyper. Ours did hunt though on walks, we were very disruptive and noisy to be around as they would disappear in the ground cover (heathland walks around here), we would yell until they came back with a "yes, I'm here, what do you want?" expression on their faces whereupon we would tell them they could go and play so they'd disappear hunting again....... collies and the lurcher stuck to the path and wanted sticks thrown, and the saluki (whose name is Geoffrey, he came with it) has to be walked on a long lead. Without it, if a deer got up we'd never see him again.

Well none of ours managed it sellyblue - yours looks more like a working one whereas mine were show bred, maybe the workers are more agile! He can't be that unintelligent if he can work out how to do that.

Yes he's a worker and he is a clever boy really only problem we really have apart from his love of bananas is birds doesn't matter what type or size he loves them and suddenly goes deaf! We've got geese on the yard and I have to put them in when he's there he won't leave them alone just wants to play but the geese don't it's a nightmare on a ride when he comes if he sees a bird he's off! Love him to bits though definatley keeps me fit x

The reason a dog has so many friends is that he wags his tail instead of his Tongue.
