Oh, poor you, our neighbours had thieves unhitch the trailer, and steal the land rover, leaving the trailer behind - what an insult. I hope you recover it, we are down a really quiet lane, but the gates are always chained, the lorry disabled and the trailer also has a lock (heavy duty) over the hitch. You can never be complacent.

it might have been old but it was important to you i hope that the people who stole it have their hands drop off, and just to let you know that all your mates are here for you if we're needed

I agreee, why cant these people just go and buy one like the rest of us, if its not bad enough that they nick your belongings its all the messing about you, as the victim are left with.
I am really sorry to hear about your springer, I hope she is returned to you soon, if not I wish many nasty things to happen to her abducters, I cant image how you most be feeling at the moment, but try to keep smiling and imagine inflicting as much pain as possible on these nasty people!

I agree with you overbent E & L are useless we had a horse have a really nasty accident in the back of a horsebox whilst going to s show in June and we have since had to have her put down and haven't received a bean yet only loads of grief. Be sure to read the small print as they deduct 17 1/2% from any vets fees. Totally useless

i had a trailer stolen in broad daylight, when we was asking around at the local feeds suppliers they said they had a lady in that lived on the road saying she seen a trailer (same discription as mine) being towed at 70mph and thought it had been stolen but didn't think to go to the farm to alert anyone!!!
it hurt like hell especially as it was only 18 months old and wasn't insured (stupid me!!!) but I could never imagine my dogs being stolen

I hear all these stories about E & L being rubbish but my horse has been insured with then for the past 4 years and we've not had a problem. A stupid kid on a bike purposely spooked him and he ended up sitting on a parked car - causing a small dent. (He was fine thank god!) I sorted it through E & L - they needed statements and drawings etc but they sorted it no problem. Not trying to stick up for them, only I've not had a problem.

Quite a lot have been stolen in our area Someone even drove one of the cars into a 5 bar gate to barge it open then stole the lorry. As you can imagine, our friends were raging with anger I strongly recomend getting a tracker. Yes, they can still be stolen, but they can also be found instantly. You will know as soon as the lorry/trailer moves and so they will only be seconds down the road before you are onto them. If you are after a tracker or want more information contact this company:
