I would - but her fertility may be lower than a younger one. And I wouldn't use a bigger stallion on her.

Friend sent her 18 year old late last year. Only time for one covering and scanned not in foal. She will be going back again this season. I thought she was a bit mad (only sent her as I sent my girl) but I guess it's her money. Vet checked her over and said no reason why not as she was 100% fit inside and out. (scanned before covering)

To be honest... it depends what you are breeding for? Is it for a youngster for yourself? If so then I would say yes, but if it is to sell, then I would say no, as there are so many animals on the market! x

My TB mare had her first foal at 15 and her second at 21 both very easy foalings and strong healthy foals both by TB stallions.

My mare was a maiden and had her first foal at 18. Then another at 19. We gave her a year off and will try again this year at the age of 21.
She is fit and healthy and loves being a mum so why not.

I have no worries regarding putting an older mare in foal, however it would depend on the mare to whether she was fit and healthy and also I would have a vet check her for breeding purposes.
We have numerous mares over 15 who are breeding well however there can be a little more difficulty getting them in foal, they sometimes need regular wash outs and a little help to be successful.

I put my 15 year old mare in foal last year - vet did all checks, scans swabs etc and she gave me a very healthy beautiful bay filly. I put her to Amorous Archie as I wanted to keep the foal for myself and have her as a future riding/all rounder so she needed a bit more 'stamp' then her mother as she's a TB and she was fine

We bred from a 15yr old mare who was maiden only a few years back and she coped extremely well I can't see there being a problem if she is healthy and happy Infact the mare we bred from at an older age bred us some of our favourite youngsters
