This HorseWatch forum is for people to check whats been happening lately in their area and to report stolen horses, equipment, suspicious things happening, dodgy folk around etc etc. The forum is split into each County and nearly every single area has its own HorseWatch co-ordinator and police liason officer listed as well. I tried to start one for the North west as apparently we don't have one
All the data is out of date as the horse watch officer based at Bury no longer does it and trying to get an officer to take over his post was a joke . each police station IE Old ham Rochdale, Bury, said " we do not do horse watch you can set up a neighborhood watch though" I wont tell you my reply !

Horsewatch - Wirral
Work is already underway in co-operation with Merseyside Police and Wirral horsewatch is soon to be launched. This is fantastic news!
Anyone interested in being part of the scheme should contact constables Jane Walker or Mark Joynson at Heswall ward.a.heswall@merseyside.police.uk or via 0151 709 6010. Or contact myself via pm on here
This is going to be trialled for Wirral and if a success as expected will hopefully be spread to other areas accross the North West

I have also tried to set up a horsewatch scheme in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, it was a total joke. I was also told a PC wasn't prepared to take on the extra duties and I supplied all the data for local horse riders/owners etc. after a year all we have is an email add that no-one every replies to!

Also have a look on FB for "Tack Theft" its a page for people to give details of saddlery thefts in the north west of England in the last 10years in the hope of finding a common denominator.

HELP NEEDED !!!!!
posting on behalf of friend 2 ponies and one foal taken by local farmer in darwen norht west !!
these horses were taken in loe of rent (which has been paid) all she has been told they in a field in darwen she dose not know if they have exstra food or water or even if they have rugs on she is very worried about them as one it a very old and cant cope with being out at night when its cold and there is a mare and foal the mare is fine out over night but the foal is to small to be out so can understand why she wants them back the police have said it is a civil matter and she is seeking leagel advicd but she just wants them home safe a.s.a.p !!! one mare is chestnut with white socks and a blaze she is very old and abit plump around the middle and the most stand out part is she has NO TAIL just a dock and a few wispes of hair. and the mare and foal the mare is a new forrest dark bay with a star and the foal is steel gray with the same star and one white sock , all are very friendly all she needs to no is were they are shes devistated. ANY INFO WILL BE A GREAT HELP ! photos to follow. thanx xx

Bad news ppl the mare an foal were sold on an cant be traced anywere an the poor lovely old girl was sent FOR MEAT !!!!!person with no parents i thought all this rubbiah wiv passports were apose to help stop all this crap i really dont c the point in them anymore not worh the papper they were printed on just a money makin scam !
