Velvet is 6 months old and still has a foals tail  I was a bit concerned, so asked HTP to see if her foal, is eating it, as we all know they can  However, NO - HTP says there is a ring of white hair just under the dock, as if she has had an injury  OG will she ever grow a tail? I have megatek, which we can start applying? Any ideas, or similiar problems? Look in the velvet diaries to see piccies of her little stump of tail |

The ring of white hair is at the very end of her dock, not near the top. The hairs growing here are about 3 inches and circle the whole dock. I will take pics tomorrow.

moondancer still had his baby tail when he was winning yearling classes.
some will grow out the tail quicker than others.
nothing to worry about LP

Ruby who will be 2 in May still had a foal tail until she was about 14 months old. Ona my RP broodmare is rising 11 and still has a foal forelock!!!!!!! The rest of her mane is totally normal though.Bizzare ponies  |

Had a look at Velvets mummy (Violets) tail and she has a patch of white hairs too xxx

LOL - I took mummy Violet round the block, in-hand today. She pranced and snorted like a stallion, the entire way, with her neck arched and when she came accross a field of very excited geldings, her tail was up in the air and cocked to the right, showing them what a total DIVA - SEX BOMB she is !!!!!! xxxx

PMSL - her thingy, is situated under her tail and revealing it, resulted in bubba Velvet!
Violet used to be so prim and proper! She is now totally changed and is an absolute HUSSIE only having had one "portion" as it were ...........LOL xx
