Just doing a little research and would be very grateful if you could please let me know what you find a reasonable cost of a good quality showing shirt for both children and adults...
Thank you very much in advance for your time..

Hi Victoria
Got mine from Le Beau Cheval both adult and child ones, really good quality, wash well and fit well. Was less than £20 for childs one and about £25 when I got mine last year.

We don't really buy showing shirts, tend to buy just shirts from clothes shops. However would be very interested in buying the leadrein type shirts that are frilly around the collar, there arent many places that do these and they are becoming increasingly popular!

I got my lead rein shirt white and frilly round the collar from.......T K Maxx.....nearly same as ponies on parade one, I spotted out the corner of my eye when in the shop, was 15 pound. I paid 10 pound for a kids blue show shirt in a sale and just buy the white ones from ASDA although am tempted to get one from le beau as i want one with holes in the collar for a collar pin and chain

I have 3 shirts at the moment to last the season, one long sleeve- 2 short sleeve but would no doubt by another for champs. I would pay up to £30 for a shirt that will wear well .

Asda's white school shirts (£4.50 for two) and a pack of yellow dusters -set on a hot wash perfect for canary shirts. Their blue school shirts are super and a really nice china blue too. They go up to age 15-16 which I am sure would be at least a ladies 36. Hole punch set on the smallest setting puts the collar pin holes in. I do have a Showing Selection one that was over £20 but shirts lose their crispness after a few seasons and at Asda prices you can afford to renew. Hope that helps your research.

asdas shirts for all children and adults as long as they fit in the collar, i just cut them untill they are big enough eg cutting off sleeves as they kill the blood supply to my hands... then i use a leather hole puncher on its smallest setting to make collar pin holes

This isn't about cost really, but I can't ever find a shirt that will fit round my chest without being huge on the collar, (H cup bra - sorry if that's too much info - but need 13.5/14 inch collar) so I would like to find a shirt that was maybe a smart looking, not flimsy or see through stretchy material with a proper collar where the collar really matched the shirt. I would probably pay quite a bit for such a thing if I could find one.

Louise, Shires do a shirt that would be perfect for you!
Proper colours with matching collar, thick fabric, and stretchy... I've had similar problems with chest size etc, was a 36G?... Recently had a reduction and now 34 D/E...
They are roughly around £20.. If memory serves me.. Perhaps check out website or catalogue.. They do sleeves and sleeveless...
Hope that helps!!!

I tried washing white shirts with yellow dusters on a hot wash...just got dirty looking off white shirts Daughters Le Beau Cheval shirt was pinched when it was left in the trailer at a show I just bought a yellow shirt from ebay and poked holes in the collar for her tie pin and you wouldn't know the difference. John Lewis sell yellow school shirts online that are much cheaper than 'show shirts'

I'm a huge fan of the tequestyle shirts - not cheap, but I've had them for about 4 years now and they are still going strong.
