I am considering putting my Section A mare in foal in 2012 when she will be out grown. The foal would be for keeping (although I want to do it properly to give the foal every chance of being a useful animal as you never quite know whats round the corner).
One of our liveries is considering putting her mare back in foal at the same time so there would be 2 foals (different types) but same year so the mares and foals would have company.
It would be Lydias first foal and she would be 15. She is not the new style of A she is a slightly lighter one but with very true to type movement and fully registered. She is a proper allrounder and does everything from driving, showing to Pony Club and I would like a foal which could potentially follow in her footsteps. She has a lovely temperament and her confirmation is pretty good.
I would like to spend some time looking around at studs and stallions this summer so that I could make an informed decision and pick the right stallion. I would like to add a little bone to her and can't decide whether to cross her to get something like a SHP or stay with a true A.
All comments welcome and if you think she isnt up to it please be honest as she is a member of the family and I wouldnt want it to be a wast but like I said the foal would be kept for life including if it had any sort of defect or problem. I am not breeding from a commercial point of view and this is the only foal I have plans to breed.

Lydia (sorry she is a little hairy on these but they are the best to show her without a rider)
