I'm sending off for schedules, sitting in a freezing office (pups now have the only spare heater!), trying to write legibly with a pile of 1st class stamps - sudden panic about these new PO charges for envelopes! I'm sending off in ordinary letter envelopes A5's with two 1st class stamps - enough do you think?

Do you really need 2 1st class stamps for an A5 envelope? I have been using just the 1.

Thats what I mean - confusion! If you are sending off for some of the bigger shows the schedules will be thicker and I dont see how they will fit in that stupid measure the PO have brought in - its literally the width of an envelope with one sheet of paper in. So if you put a first class stamp on and it measures out so to speak it will go 2nd class..or will that be enough? I'm off to the proper Post Office as I am chasing PClub susbscriptions so will check but wondered what all of you who are more active than me were doing...

When I sent off for mine asked at Post Office and was advised to use one of the bigger stamps for the COunty shows when you know it's going to be fat!

a5 is one stamp, but your proberley wise putting the two on. but don't forget its also now done on the weight and alot of schedules are quite heavy.

sent off using a5 envelope and the LARGE 1st class stamp of 44p which is what the dingbat in thepo said to do so hopefully I wont end up with those annoying cards which tell you to pay £1 plus excess postage to retrieve your mail!

The "Royal" mail do my head in! i think thats stupid that they charge for "handling" costs.... they handle every piece of blummin mail regardless! if the letter is too big for your letter box and they leave u a note, they dont charge u holding fees do they?
