Last year i took my yearling gelding to the BEF Futurity and he got a First Premium. At the weekend i received a Certificate from the BEF for a Broodmare Diploma. Is this correct? Only i don't own the mare and did not breed the yearling. Does the stallion owner get a Stallion Diploma?
I'm a bit confused because i haven't done Futurity before.

My friend has also received a broodmare diploma when her 2 year old gained a first premium, and she also doesn't own the dam. I am however so thrilled as I received my broodmare diploma for my foal gaining a first premium as I own his dam!!! I am so proud of them both xx

There should be certificates still to come for the actual youngstock, I assume the brood mare certs have returned from the printers first or been first to sort out. The stallion owners do not receive a diploma.
We have received our mare certs I assume they will go to the youngstock owner as the mare owners details would not be entered into the entry system, you could maybe forward the cert on if you know the Dams owner.
Im sure the youngstock certs will arrive very shortly, we have received one but still have three to arrive!!!!

How exciting! My brood mare one arrived recently, and I do own the mare but didn't breed her - next objective is to get one (or more!) for my home bred mare. I will wait for Stan's now then, thank you for the info' holiday.

Thank You Holiday, i will forward on the broodmare certificate to the owner.
It's a shame the stallions don't get anything as my friend (the pony's breeder) owned the stallion but loaned the mare. I did it for the breeder really as a thank you for her letting me have the foal to keep my homebred filly company at weaning. He has a lot of potential as a BE pony and i wanted to make sure his time with me wasn't wasted and hope it would help find him the right home to bring him on in a year or two.
Still i was delighted with his result especially holding his own as a pure bred native against specialist bred sports ponies.
