Evidently it was the Show Chairman who arranged these prizes with Horseguards and not the Sponsorship team who deal with the lovely riding pony rugs that my friends won. If you call the NPS office they will give you her number and I'm sure she'll sort it out for you.

If we have fat legs, our ponies were cut late and have a crest and they sometimes high blow because they love their jumping do we give up showing under NPS rules? The comments in the newsletter are open to misinterpretation and lets face it given the opportunity some will use the comments to others advantage in the wrong way.

Where is the HOYS report? Why were the FANTASTIC succese of the Barr family hidden amongst the stud adverts? As usual the M&M WHP's were almost forgotten and the RIHS report stuck right at the back. Come on NPS give Credit where it is due to members and sponsors.

good to see more studs advertising this year but the ridden show ponies hardly get a mention unless they come from Australia and the M&M photos are all in black & white & very disappointing.

Hi FED UP we too are waiting for the rug we won at NPS and my youngest one is too very put out to say the least. I have been in constant contact with NPS who promise me they are dealing with it and will ring me but still have not rung me back. I have spoken several times with Ted from Horseguards and he now says I will get the rug but cannot say when!!!! I have great pics of it that I dare'nt put up as child will become even crosser!!!

I'm sure you will get them. Our Riding Pony Rug didn't arrive so we called the NPS office who gave us Steph the sponsorship lady's number. She got onto it straight away and within a week a fleece rug arrived from MASTA. Thanks to everyone.

hi woof i to have spoken to steff and amanda and others at nps also many times to horsegaurds .to the other commet about the rugs were lovely, ours would be to if we had them .every time i ring i get told to ring someonelse, if the sponser can not deliver then i think it should be up to nps to supply some more as it was their champ show, try telling a child they have to wait.but im sorry to say some ,got their rugs if you happen to be a judge or some high big stud. i am sorry but it does not look good to the new members who are just starting out .i can asure people i have tried every avenue to no avail before i had a moan.

The deal with Horseguards was arranged by Mrs McHale and there will have been a written agreement regarding that between herself and Ted so she will be able to assist you and purchase one for you.

I am sorry but I think you are all being a bit unfair, atleast NPS produces a review each year. I personally love to see the pictures of the ponies and read the area write ups. I don't know what goes on in the BSPS and P(UK) as my daughter is the only member in the house and junior members don't receive anything other than their membership card each year.

The review is great but agree that very few photos of Natives and more should send their photos in for the gallery as it's notas expensive as some breed journals. Shame the photos that there were of our breeds were in black & white while all the australian ponies were large and in colour. Priority there needs looking at for next year. shame the TopSpec was stuck inat the back as it is as important to the native workers as the Baileys is to the flatties. As for the rug keep on at amanda and she'll sort it out.

In the very brief paragraph about the Picton Final, I think the wrong pony's name and age may have been given, though they got the colour right. It might have been nice to have mentioned that the pony which was named is a full brother (?) and had qualified for Olympia for the nth time (hardly a Picton!).
Otherwise mostly great.

Hi Fed Up, I know it is awful but it is quite nice to know I'm not the only one without a rug or the only one with an upset child. As to everyone else believe us both when we say we have spoken and pleaded with all the above people and still no rugs, the NPS have been very helpful on the phone but no follow up at all and No rug. I agree with you fed up it is not very encouraging for this to happen to anyone let alone new members.

Ref the thread "Nps Ballot Paper " Can Admin or the mods please tell me why the above thread was locked as I for one cant see a good enough reason? Or is the reason that a certain party that is running for council is a also mod on here and did not like the way the thread was going? Not after causing trouble but why lock the thread?

The thread was closed because the ballot papers issue is now over. We know from the latest newletter that the NPS has said they need to do further work on the options and they have chosen (wisely IMO) to take time to do this rather than push unwanted new rules on the competitors).

The thread was for the Olympia ballot paper and had gone off track. This thread was started afresh as everyone would be receiving their Review, Newsletter and Ballot paper. I didnt see anything adverse in the other thread and it was not locked for that reason. Sorry if you thought that way.

Where ARE the MINUTES of last year's AGM.
Members need reassuring that all of the questions raised regarding finances have been accurately recorded and can be addressed in Matters Arising should it be necessary. From the Accounts sent out it looks as if they will need to be.

I think disheartened that the reasons you have stated are logical explanations!! the nps are trying to cut down on the many fat ponies and equally fat riders so lets hope that the judges are not ignorent!!! go nps though it is about time you put your foot down!

I ride a 12hh pony and am 5ft 2 and wiegh 9 stone, I am very concious of my size but always feel that because my pony goes beautifully (ridden champ at the breed show) that will override the fact that i am possibly a little large for him. What happens now? Does the fact i am a bit large come first? Will I have marks deducted even if my pony does the best show? Im confused, and worried.

laus do i take it your a size 6??? no i am not but neither do i rife a pony i am clear to big for! what the nps are trying to do is stoppeople who say ride bs but really should ride as if you are tall but not heavy then there is no problem i am tall and would not be seen dead on a c because i would be too tall but not too heavy! why is it a bad thing alot of show animals are not strong enough to carry huge amounts of weight because the way of schooling, age hard going etc! now tell me have you ever heard a horse get excited and a horse that is cleary outof breathe neither sound the same! and if your pony is far too fat to jump ther fence and far to unfit why the hell should people stand there and let it happen welfare is a big issue in the show world so the nps are dammed if they do something and dammed if they dont the people who have started this is the ilph now as they are proffesionals in welfare who are we to question!? i for one am fed up with seeing over weight and lame ponies congratulated by winning! not only is it a lesson for us exhibiters it is a lesson for the judges it is about time we stop taking offence and open our eyes! the nps are not being rediculous

You cn have fat legs a tiny waist and light bones. Does the NPS prefer Kate Moss? Look what she snorts to stay thin! Are they backing vice? Let us choose what we ride and let's face it our ponies wont or wont be able to perform if we are too tall or too heavy for them. Was surprised to see such ridiculous wording but a supposedly reputable organisation.

Please can someone update us on the minutes. I didn't get to the AGM but heard some very pertinent, sensible questions were asked by Mr Cockram and others and as a member would like to know exactly what they were. I intend to go along this time to find out if this is part of a cover up. we the members need to be informed and i believe that is why this site was set up.
