Have done the most silly thing to day can not belive I was so thick. Tied pony up in yard and went to get the horses out of field so she could go out, brought the mare I was leading though yard gate with out thinking pushed pony to move it over, the one I was leading went to bite her on bum. you can guess the rest kicked on both legs one knee and the biggest black bruie in the shape of a hoof on my thigh which is also swollen. Have got to sit on a train both ways for over 2 hours tomorrow. Pony and horse are fine

Ouch! Hope you're soon feeling better. I think we're all guilty of taking them for granted at times, and mostly we get away with it, just pot luck that you didn't today.
Have a nice long hot bath with some radox in it.

agree with you about the hot bath MM but would take it one step further and have a nice bottle of white by the side of said bath just to raise the spirits, I would suggest one sip every few seconds

Yep, and you'll need 2 buckets of ice, one for the wine and one for the bruise!!

bag of frozen peas for the bruise, moulds to the shape of the injured bit, just remember to mark them as don't eat when they go back in the freezer!

Oh seahorse we all have our blips, I remember when I was sixteen and it snowed heavily, water froze and I had a barmy idea of tieing a sledge to the back of my pony so it could pull its own water to the stables. Hence sledge freeked pony, pony galloped off to be found unharmed two miles away and several tearfull hours later. Sledge was found in a farmers field several months later by accident by my dad walking the dog..... a mile in the other direction. . My family still bring it up when my daughter does something daft around ponies. Only the other day I straddled over Alice the mini to hold her while she had her chin trimmed, you guessed it she reared and I ended up flat on my back seeing stars..... Good luck with the job oh and by the way this morning I mashed a cuppa at work and then poured it into the sugar bowl instead of the cups......drrrrr
