Just a simple question really.
I always used to do workers in my navy velvet with leather straps but it falls over my eyes when I jump - not so good when trying to navigate a course.
So I have decided to jump in my jockey skull, just wondering what colour hat silk shall I put on it?
Thanks

If your hat falls over your eyes it doesnt fit you correctly, many people have difficulty finding the right hat to fit and i personally am more comfortable in a skull cap as sits better and as a spectcle wearer i find fixed peaks not good. Lots of people wear a skull cap for jumping around the course, and switch to a show cap for the flat ( the only change apart from boot removal allowed !!!!) What colour jacket do you have and how old are you ? they do suede / velveteen covered in most colours personally, navy, brown, black or even aubergine depending on your jacket colour and also horse colour. My childrens best fitting hats are actually the decathalon LW hats, no good for big jumping or showing, but with the alteration twist dial at the back you can get a perfect fit, and at home they have to wear them round the yard so more for thier comfort. For shows i use a charles own, little boys ears are quite high and they always end up sticking out, but hat wise it sits niceley with little room to move, you can get foam inserts to aid fit but sounds to me like you could do with being fitted for one if you decide you need a new one

Thanks, Im going to invest in a new show hat anyway as Im thinking of changing to brown.
My jacket at the moment is a mustard colour with red and white overcheck but I am thinking about getting a new one with brown (:
Im 19 and compete on quite a few different horses but I don't think I will be doing as many workers this year unfortunatley.

It really depends on what colour tweed jacket you would be wearing! I have a green tweed with navy and brown in it, I wear a blue hat with it. Maybe that will help! Good Luck finding one!!!
