Class 1 NOVICE WORKING HUNTER. Mare or Gelding 4 years old and over exceeding 143cms. Fences 3’ Rider/Horse combination not to have won any hunter class.
Class 2 OPEN WORKING HUNTER. Mare or Gelding 4 years old and over exceeding 153cms.
Max height of fences 3’9”.
Class 3 RIDDEN SPORT HORSE. Open to horses 4 years old and over exceeding 148cms.
Horses come into the ring individually and give a short ridden display of walk, trot and canter of approx 1 minute to be awarded Marks out of a possible 20. Then they proceed straight into
the jumping phase (fences 3’6”). All horses unless eliminated in the jumping phase are
required to come back without saddles for conformation assessment to be awarded marks out
of a possible 50.
JUMPING PHASE.
a) The Jumping course will be a mixture of coloured and rustic obstacles and is designed to
produce a minimum of eight jumping efforts.
b) Each jumping effort is marked out of 10 at the judge’s discretion.
c) The first fence will be a small inviting fence and may be jumped as a practice fence.
d) There is no set penalty for a pole down or a run out but three refusals result in elimination.

Class 62 PURE BRED LEAD REIN. Open to Registered Welsh Sections A or B.
Mares or Geldings 4 years old or over. Not exceeding 122cms. (12 hh) Riders must have
attained their 3rd birthday but must not have attained their 9th birthday before 1st January in the current year. Ponies to be shown in a suitable snaffle bridle – the reins to go directly from
the bit to the rider’s hands. The lead rein must be attached to the noseband only. No extra
attachments to or on the saddle.
Class 63 PART-BRED LEAD REIN. Open to Registered Welsh Part-Breds.
Mares or Geldings 4 years old or over. Not exceeding 122cms. (12 hh) Riders must have
attained their 3rd birthday but must not have attained their 9th birthday before 1st January in the current year. Ponies to be shown in a suitable snaffle bridle – the reins to go directly from
the bit to the rider’s hands. The lead rein must be attached to the noseband only. No extra
attachments to or on the saddle.
Class 64 PURE BRED FIRST RIDDEN. Open to Registered Welsh Sections A or B.
