During last night he could not stop whining i came down a couple of times and cuddled him then went back up the then whined all night long. He has been fine today but what should i do to stop him whining in future ? x

Cute! As for the whining, do you have a cage? Best thing ever! We put ours in a cage every night, at first she whined, but we ignore her. They're going to carry on if you go out and cuddle them.

Very cute. A crate is a good idea. Thats what I used for my little jack x westie and its not often that she whines now.

Agree crates are great, i have two massive ones back to back under my kitchen table, one for my staffy and one for my pointer, they love it their own little space, can retreat away from the noise of the kids whenever they want, and the kids respect that it is the dogs space x x

A warm hot water bottle will help. Then you have to be firm and leave him, just make sure he has a comfy bed!
