He is rather lovely nice to see a little dog getting stuck in (so to speak) but then daxys are from the hound group and a lot tougher than some people think !!

I never liked them until some friends inherited his mother's smooth mini when she had to go into a care home. Now I'm completely besotted, will have one one day. This one is called Slinky, best name ever I think.
Is it true it's a breed trait for them to burrow under their blankets? This one does - wherever her bed is is home as she travels between two houses and his work, bed and essential blanket to burrow under kept in each place.

Isnt there a sausage dog toy slinky in Toy Story ? I guess thats why its a popular name for this type of dog . Whenever i see a short coated one it reminds me of One Foot in the Grave where the man picks up the mini sausage dog pup instead of the phone when it rings ;D

Is there? I always think of a slinky as one of those spring things that walks itself downstairs.
