Just had to have a moan about sellers who are timewasters! I am sure this has been a subject before but I am so frustrated I had to bring it up again!! I am so sick of people putting adverts on forums, not just this one, and then when you reply because you are interested in something the person who has done the ad simply does not respond!! I have replied recently to a couple of adverts on this site and a few on a couple of other sites. Not one of the people who have originally placed the ads has come back to me - even to say "sorry but now sold" or something similar. Why place an ad if you are then going to ignore any replies? ? If I place an ad on various forums I make a point of going on in the evening to check to see if anyone has replied to me - it only takes a couple of minutes and it could mean selling what every you are advertising. Moan over now - sorry!! ;D

I'm finding the same too on a few forums.

It works the other way round too - buyers who reply to the ad for information who then dont acknowledge when you've sent it.

Im not saying it doesn't but it has just p***ed me off this week the amount of ads I have tried to enquire about but not had any response from at all.

The best way I think is to PM the seller. That way it is easy for them to see in their inbox that someone has asked something.
I would also say that we have a policy on 'bumping' up ad's on here and we try to encourage the PM system to ask and get answered various questions. Someone replying over and over again to questions on a thread as opposed to sending a PM runs the risk of their ad being removed.
Also a lot of people who advertise on here are not regular users of the forum, so place an ad and forget about it.

Yes if advertising or buying always PM as sometimes posts get lost and you have to do alot of sifting to find them again xxxxxxx

I have pm'd all the people concerned as well as replying to their actual ads and none have been replied to!!! Believe me when I say I only reply to ads I am genuinely interested in and would not waste peoples time and thats what annoys me as I am a potential customer to these people.

It is so bad mannered, when you PM a reply saying you would like to buy and how would seller like payment etc, and it is totally ignored. Presumably items are sold but would it be so much effort when opening PM just to say sorry - sold!!!
