I didn't receive any notification of the 2011 council election. I just thought my paperwork went missing in the post. I have since asked several other members it seems quite a few members did not get there nomination papers. Is the any one else that was left out or is the post really that bad?!

I dont think there was one, I heard there were more council members standing down than new members putting them selves forward, therefore it was automatic.

Nominations had to be in by 10th January to enable ballot papers to be prepared. I would imagine that these will be sent with the journals which are due any day.

My point was that there was no notification of the pending election or no nomination forms sent out to members as has been done before. It seems that there was on paragraph in a general letter from the chief exec just before Christmas but no nomination forms.

The following quote from the website clearly states what the situation was with regards to the forthcoming election and I seem to recall something similar being received in the post. Why waste money sending a nomination to every single member when probably only a handful of people require a nomination form?
