Does any of you knowlegable people know the rules and regs of parking a touring caravan. Can you park them in your own garden for example. I am having some trouble with mine.
If not does anyone know where I can look up the rules and regs. If I parked mine in the garden temporarily it would really pee my next dorr neighbour off but he is a horrible man so that wouldnt worry me but I want to be within the law so to speak
Help really appreciated

Try the caravan club.. sure they would have a website and have all that sort of stuff posted. If not they must have a forum, where you could ask One thing, don't ask jeremy clarkson

Skint, you need to look on the deeds of your property. Some newer houses, particularly if they have open plan gardens, have rules about what you can or cant do. Once you have made sure there is nothing about caravans in the deeds, yes you can park your caravan at home. Make sure you have some good security on it though.
The upside is its free, convenient, etc., the downside is everyone knows when you're not at home. I pay a fortune for secure storage, because although I have the space at home, access is terrible and the caravan is huge!!

Quite agree with your downside milliesmum. We always felt when we moved ours it made it very obvious to all and sundry that we were away!
It's unfortunate that they are such noticeable things!

Think if its not in your deeds then and it doesnt block any bodys direct light or right of way you are fine. Get it stuck on.......
We looked at one house and they didnt allow any commercial cars which meant we couldnt even park our Toyata Hilux on our drive.......
